Comparative Analysis in Drilling Performance of AA7075 in Different Temper Conditions

The widespread use of heat treatable7075 aluminum alloy in the aerospace industry requires a high machinability performance. main objective this study is to examine and surface quality conditions AA7075 material with different temper conditions. For purpose, various treatments are implemented evaluate impact microstructural properties on tool wear drilled holes. drilling operations have been done O, F, T4, T6, T7 Process parameters were three spindle speeds (715, 1520, 3030 rev/min) feed rates (0.1, 0.2, 0.3 mm/rev) HSS-G high-performance ground standard twist drill bit. present work deals effects thrust force, temperature, wear, integrity, chip morphology. Response methodology was used evaluation experiment results. optimization results showed that while force torque not significantly affected by change speed, they sensitive an increase rate. Heat-generation bit lowest at low levels both rate speed parameters. AA7075-T6 condition specimen machined continuous formation, resulting best hole quality. 3D Finite element modeling process carried out. Numerical analysis revealed performance terms thrust, generation formation.
